Senior Trip: Lunch and Bahá'í House of Worship

Tour one of the “Seven Wonders of Illinois”, The Bahá'í House of Worship located in Wilmette, IL. This is the second Bahá'í House of Worship ever constructed and the oldest one still standing. It is one of eight continental temples and was constructed to serve all of North America.
This is a place of prayer, meditation, and elevated conversations about the connection between worship of God and service to humanity. It was built for all people, including those simply enjoying the beauty of the gardens and the unique design of the building, and all are encouraged to gather on its grounds in prayer and meditation. The structure took 50 years to build and is the oldest temple in the world. There is one house of worship on each inhabited continent.
After the tour we will enjoy lunch at Farmhouse Evanston. Choice of entrée at sign up:
Lunch includes salad and a beverage. After lunch we will stop at Insomnia Cookies for a warm, freshly made cookie.
This is a walking tour with stairs. Elevators are available for a small number of people.
