This temporary exhibit will be leaving in June so sign up right away! Back Home: Polish Chicago features more than 90 artifacts and documents as well as more than 100 reproduced photographs to help tell the story of the Chicago area’s vibrant Polish communities from the mid-1800s to today. Explore personal narratives, music, community involvement, as well as art installations from five local Polish artists. Experience the journeys immigrants have taken to get to the city, the ways they have established themselves in its neighborhoods, and the duality of feeling a deep connection to two places at once.

After the guided tour we will head to Staropolska for lunch. And if that wasn’t enough, we will end our day at Kolatek’s Bakery and Deli where you can stock up on baked goods, deli meats, produce and more… this is a “can’t miss” trip!

Lunch, served family style, includes soup, cucumber salad, pierogies, sausage and sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, potato pancake, cheese blintz for dessert, cold and hot drinks.
